Custom-made wardrobe for narrow corridors with maximum function in a small space
This project shows how a made-to-measure wardrobe can be designed to be both functional and unobtrusive, even in a narrow hallway.
The aim was to combine several functions in one compact solution – without visually overloading the room.
The initial situation
The hallway was narrow and left little room for classic wardrobe solutions.
At the same time, there should be enough space for jackets, accessories and everyday items.
There was also a desire for a large mirror that would visually open up and expand the room.
The idea behind it
Instead of combining several individual pieces of furniture, the aim was to create a consistent solution that blends unobtrusively into the room.
The wardrobe should take on several functions – storage space, mirror and shelf space – without appearing dominant.
It was particularly important to find a solution that could be used flexibly in everyday life and could be reduced again if necessary.
The implementation
The checkroom was integrated into the hallway with precise dimensions and follows a clear, minimalist design.
Matt black fronts create a calm look, while a wooden drawer is deliberately highlighted as a warm accent.
A large mirror visually expands the room and adds depth.
The interior conceals a pull-out clothes rail that can be used when needed and then disappears again to save space.
The solution is complemented by hidden storage space for small everyday items.
The result
The result is a made-to-measure wardrobe that functionally extends the hallway and at the same time looks calm and modern.
A solution that shows how much function is possible even in a small space.
