Choose materials at the location where your cabinet is being built

When taking measurements, your Cabinethero will bring along a selection of material and finish samples. This allows you to evaluate colors, finishes, and combinations right in your own home.

  • Compare them in the right light: Materials look different depending on the room and the angle of the light.
  • Match it to your home: Compare the samples with your floors, doors, walls, and existing furniture.
  • Get personalized advice: Your Cabinethero will help you choose the right colors, finishes, and combinations.

Most frequently asked questions

The selection is tailored to your individual taste, the design, and the intended use. Depending on the project, options include coated panels in various colors and surface textures, real wood veneers, solid wood drawers, and materials designed for specific requirements.

During the measurement appointment, your Cabinethero will show you suitable samples and advise you on appearance, texture, care, and possible uses.

Yes. For every measurement appointment, your Cabinethero brings a sample case with a selection of over 300 materials, colors, and finishes.

This way, you can view the samples right in your home and evaluate them under actual lighting conditions. The selection we bring will be tailored to your cabinet project and your preferences.

Yes. When taking measurements, you can hold the material samples right next to existing floors, doors, walls, or furniture. This makes it easier to assess whether the colors and finishes complement each other.

We will assess on a case-by-case basis whether an existing color or wood tone can be matched exactly. Variations in color and grain are possible, particularly with natural materials.

We use high-quality and relatively durable coatings. Depending on the material, they are scratch-resistant, stain-resistant, long-lasting, and, for the most part, resistant to UV light.

No furniture surface is completely scratch-resistant. In addition, certain materials can change over time due to exposure to light, use, and aging. Your Cabinethero consultant will advise you on which surface is best suited for your intended use.

Yes, special hygienic surfaces are available for certain applications. The properties of these materials make it difficult for bacteria to adhere to or multiply on the surface.

During the planning phase, discuss with your Cabinetheroes which sanitary panels are available and which ones are best suited for your project.

Before publication, it should be verified which specific antibacterial effects the manufacturer has demonstrably confirmed.

For cabinet bodies, shelves, and interior components, we use panel materials suitable for furniture construction. Depending on the size, design, and anticipated load, we use materials such as P2 particleboard, higher-density versions, or MDF variants, among others.

The selection is based on the design. Higher-density panels are heavier, more dimensionally stable, and designed for long-term use.

We also prioritize low-emission panel grades. The panels we use are not completely formaldehyde-free, but they contain a reduced amount of formaldehyde in the binder. The corresponding emission levels are certified.

Veneer is made of real wood and preserves its natural grain, color, and texture. Since wood is a natural material, no two surfaces are exactly alike.

The grain and color may differ from the sample shown and may change over time or due to exposure to light. These differences are not a quality defect but rather part of the wood’s natural character. During the on-site measurement, you can compare different wood tones right in your home.

For hinges and drawer slides, we rely on Blum’s proven technology. It ensures stable, smooth, and reliable performance in everyday use.

For the integrated lighting, we use LED strips from ISOLED that have been specially tailored to the requirements of Cabinetheroes. The specific lighting and hardware used will depend on the design and features of your cabinet.

The project price isn’t determined solely by the size of the cabinet. The choice of materials and features also plays a role.

Factors that may affect pricing include, among others:

  • Cabinet Doors and Surfaces
  • Real Wood Veneers
  • Solid Wood Drawers
  • Special hygienic surfaces
  • Integrated LED lighting
  • Custom-made products
