Custom-made wall unit with integrated lighting and clear room structure
This project shows how a made-to-measure wall unit not only functionally complements the room, but actively shapes it.
The aim was to create a solution that combines storage space, TV area and open elements while making optimum use of the height and proportions of the room.
The initial situation
The room was characterized by a large wall surface and high ceilings, but offered no clear structure for storage space or media use.
They wanted a piece of furniture that combined several functions: storage space, TV area and open and closed surfaces – without overloading the room.
At the same time, the design should appear modern, light and homely.
The idea behind it
Instead of individual pieces of furniture, the aim was to create a continuous living wall that structures the room and at the same time creates an open effect.
The combination of open compartments, closed elements and an integrated TV area was intended to combine function and design.
It was particularly important to use the height of the room and to achieve a clear, calm effect through light and material contrasts.
The implementation
The custom-made wall unit combines open compartments, closed cupboard elements and a sideboard for the TV to create a harmonious unit.
The material mix of white and oak creates a modern, warm look, while the clear lines emphasize the structure of the room.
Integrated lighting sets specific accents in the open areas and emphasizes the lightness of the construction.
The balanced layout creates a solution that provides storage space, structures the room and at the same time has a homely feel.
The result
The result is a wall unit that combines function and design.
The room appears clearly structured without losing any of its openness – and at the same time offers sufficient storage space for everyday use.
