Customized solution under the stairs - flush integrated and easily accessible in everyday life
This project shows how unused space under the stairs can be transformed into a well thought-out storage solution without disrupting the clear design of the entrance area.
The focus was not only on the function, but also on the question of how the solution could be integrated in such a way that it looked like a natural part of the staircase.
The initial situation
The space under the stairs was to be used optimally without standing out from the design of the entrance area. At the same time, it was important that the solution was flush and matched the wood type and color of the staircase exactly.
What was needed was not simply additional storage space, but a solution that combined function and design.
The idea behind it
It quickly became clear that a classic cupboard solution would not be enough.
The space under the stairs should utilize its entire depth and at the same time remain easily accessible so that numerous shoes can be stored neatly and clearly.
In addition, the design should appear calm and seamless, with an additional light source and a front that blends harmoniously into the staircase.
The implementation
The made-to-measure under-stair cupboard uses the entire depth under the stairs and creates additional storage space without cluttering the area.
Pull-out elements on English trains ensure maximum functionality and easy access in everyday life.
An integrated sensor light brings additional brightness to the otherwise darker area under the stairs and noticeably increases user comfort.
In addition, a hidden compartment has been integrated that blends unobtrusively into the design and offers special storage space without being visible from the outside.
To ensure that the solution blends in seamlessly, the panels were matched exactly to the color of the stair stringers using a special decor.
The result
The result is a solution that makes full use of the space under the stairs and at the same time looks like a natural part of the architecture.
The storage space remains easily accessible in everyday life, the design is calm and of high quality – that was precisely the aim.
